Ministry Updates

October 10, 2007

This week our itinerary has brought us to the Christ Community Baptist Tabernacle in Newfield, NJ.  A unique aspect of our itinerary this year is that it has taken us from coast to coast in these great United States.  Though the topography of this great nation changes, the needs of people transcend the many miles that separate the Pacific from the Atlantic.

The need for revival is obvious and I assume has never been greater.  I believe with every ounce of who I am that if we draw nigh to God, He will draw nigh to us.  With the Bible as our guide, there is no reason to believe that God is not interested in revival.  II Chronicles 7:14 begins with “If my people, …” not “If God.”  Because the need for revival is great so should our commitment to the work that God has called us to.  I have always been burdened for our work in evangelism, but not to the extent that I am now.  It has just never been more clear that we need revival.

Would you pray about this matter in several ways?  1.) Ask the Lord to show you where you need to “draw nigh” to Him.  Sincerely make this request and consider the cost as you do.  2.) Daily consider whether you are in fellowship with God and respond accordingly.  3.) Pray for the Holy Sprit’s power on the lives of our family and our ministry.  4.) Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to share the gospel with others.

Dear Lord, help us not to grow weary in well doing.  For in due season we shall reap if we faint not!
